Bailbrook Lodge is a splendid Georgian hotel just one and a half miles from Bath's City centre. Built in 1811 by the famous architect John Everleigh, this historical building was once described in an auction for be suitable for 'a man of substance'. Today it has been thoughtfully restored to offer accommodation of 12 bedrooms which provide a taste of elegance and comfort with antique furniture yet retaining many original features.A relaxed atmosphere pervades at Bailbrook Lodge where guests can sit in comfort in our lounge with it own bar or eat in the dining room, which overlooks the patio. If it is a meeting or small conference, we can also accommodate your every need. Fax, photocopying and other business services can also be facilitated. There is a pay phone in the hotel.
All 12 bedrooms have en suite showers or bathrooms, hairdryers, hospitality tray and colour TV. The rooms are individually decorated to a high standard with some overlooking the lawns and others the gardens of Bailbrook College, another splendid Georgian mansion. We offer four large four poster suites with names such as the Jane Austen Suite or the Famille Rose Suite. Our trusted members of staff change all laundry daily.
The residents at Bailbrook Lodge can relax in peaceful surroundings as the hotel is set back from the nearest road and has few other neighbours. It is close to the City yet, has a country house feel to it with its detached position and large garden. Most of all it is excellently located being close to major link roads and yet minutes to the countryside. Our large private car park makes the hotel an ideal place to base oneself for visiting the City and the surrounding sites.
The restaurant at Bailbrook Lodge offers homemade à la Carte cuisine prepared to order. We operate 28 covers from 6.30 pm - 9.00 pm and guests can choose from our varied menu which is changed regularly. A choice of two or three courses may be ordered and there is a special dinner, bed and breakfast tariff.
We are served by an excellent vintner and can offer some of the finest wines around. After dinner either stay in the restaurant or relax in the lounge to enjoy coffee and liqueurs.
